Born in Tokyo in 1958. Lived in New York. Graduated from Nihonga Department from Tokyo University of Art in 1982. Using the foundation from his study of Nihonga, his works consists of the quality found in Chinese painting and scale of American art. Completed series of paintings on fusuma (sliding screens) at the Jukoin Betsuin Daitoku-ji Temple in 2002. In 2003 drew a wall painting at Grand Hyatt Tokyo, and also became an art director of the Haneda Airport Terminal 2, known as one of Japan’s spirited artist.
